The use of different words to describe the same things can have significant differences in the conveyed meaning. I don’t think anti-abortion is the best word to describe the anti-choice position. Choice has the quality of freedom included in its meaning. You did not fall into the trap of using the preposterous “pro-life” term. Frankly I like to use pro-coerced-parenthood to describe them.

Hi Don,
I’m working on getting rid of those silly avatars, which I didn’t put up:)
Yes, I want to avoid the more common terms “pro-life” and “pro-choice” since those don’t really tell you anything. I mean, we’re all “pro-life” and “pro-choice.” Pro-coerced parenthood is a good one, but a little wordy. What terms do you think are better?

Welcome to Gabbin' About God, sponsored by Ace Religious Supplies, where they say, “If we don't got it, it ain't holy.”

Just kidding. This is Not My God, a site for the personal aspect of atheism. I'm putting together a book with that title, having already 20 interviews lined up, but I still want to hear from more of you.
I've expanded the blog to include material not related to atheism, including rants, raves, consumer issues, curmudgeonly matters and other miscellany.
